Own It: Visualizing the Year Ahead

Life is hectic. Google can instantly find the answers to your most pressing questions – what song to listen to next, where to order pizza from, or how long your commute will take today. But what do you do when faced with decisions that even Siri and Alexa can’t help with? Do you carve-out time to reflect on priorities, or does your best thinking happen lying in bed awake at night? Do you tackle the big stuff with lots of room to breathe or do you often find yourself up against a looming deadline? In Jewish tradition, Rosh Hashana is THE time to stop, think and confidently own your decisions about the values you will prioritize and the choices you will make about who you want to be in the year ahead. OWN IT is a collaborative program between community young adults, The House, and UJA Genesis. We invite you to join us and push-away the noise of daily life for one night with peers experiencing similarly paced-lives. Together we will look to the Jewish New Year as a launching point for well-set intentions and we will work with practical tools to prioritize who you want to be and how you want to get there. So don’t sit back and let this year simply happen to you. OWN IT for Rosh Hashana!
