Generations Together

Bridging the Generation Gap, One Young Adult at a Time.

As Jews, we are constantly reminded and encouraged to honour our heritage, and remember our roots.  What better way than to spend quality time with our seniors, to show them respect and make them smile?

Inspired by the concept of “Tikkun Olam” – an ongoing search for opportunities to heal, repair and transform the world – The House’s Generations Together program is taking strides to bridge the generation gap, and strengthen the bond between our youth and those who have laid the groundwork for our future.

Young adult volunteers will connect with amazing seniors at the Cummer Lodge Nursing Home through song, dance and storytelling – an animated event which many seniors look forward to!

This time around, we will be celebrating Shavuot!
