A Little Bit of Dough Goes a Long Way
Challah is that magical, fabulous bread that tastes just as warm and fluffy as the memories it engenders. Let’s share some challah with the people who need it most!
Get down and doughey at The House’s widely successful annual Challah bake, our third year running! Young adults all over Toronto will join forces to bake hundreds of challahs for donating to the charitable organization, “Out of the Cold,” a volunteer initiative that helps provide safe refuge and shelter to the homeless community of Toronto.
Don’t know how to make Challah from scratch? No sweat! (Only a little elbow grease.)
We’ll be leading everyone through a step-by-step tutorial on how to make two kinds of challahs:
a) sweet – chocolate chip & raisin
b) savory – garlic & rosemary
Aprons will be provided. No one will be leaving empty-handed: everyone will be taking home dough to make their own challah, in addition to recipe cards and baking instructions; Snapshot Magnets will take high-quality pictures at the challah bake, and transform our memorable moments into souvenir magnets!
Together, let’s prove how a little bit of dough can make anyone feel rich.
